COVID-19

How are dealing with COVID-19?

As of the 9th September, 2020.

The safety of our patients and our team is our number one priority.  We at this stage will remain open as requested by the Deputy Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Health, who has stated in an address to the allied health professions on the second of April:
"All Allied Health is an essential medical service and we want you to continue to operate", and "It is essential that people with chronic and acute conditions are able to receive face to face treatment".  This is basically to reduce the stress on the our already stretched medical services.

We are monitoring closely the Coronavirus (COVID – 19) outbreak and have put a number of measures in place.

These are the following things we have changed in the clinic:

We are asking all our clients to hand sanitise prior to entering the clinic (hand sanitiser provided at the entry to the clinics).

We have increased the frequency of cleaning and wiping all touch surfaces.

All staff have completed The Government Infection Control Training - Covid 19.

We ask everyone entering either of the clinics to maintain 1.5m apart from each other.  We have distanced our seats from one another and we are asking that you wait outside or in your car if possible until your practitioner can see you.  If waiting in your car simply reply to your SMS reminder that you have arrived and we will SMS you when your practitioner is ready.  Then you will be able to be taken straight through to the treatment room.

We have removed soft covers from the top end of our tables so that the tables can be cleaned with alcohol after each client.  Any surfaces touched by clients are cleaned between treatments.

We are encouraging people to pay by card only.  HICAPS can still be processed. Pens cleaned between every use.

All papers, magazines and children's toys which have been removed from reception.

Communal water fountains have also been removed.

As always, there are washroom facilities with single use hand towels for drying.

Please note we are taking the recommendations from the government and making changes as necessary.

We have a Covid Safe plan in place.

PPE requirements for Health Professionals: surgical masks and eye protection.

Masks are mandatory to be worn unless under 12 or medical reasons as per government guidelines.

What you can do:

As recommended by the Victorian Government Health Department, we would ask you to follow these simple rules to minimize the chance of spread of the virus.

If you have been in contact with anyone confirmed to have had COVID-19, returned recently from over seas or have cold or flu like symptoms, please give us a call to reschedule your appointment and do not come into the clinic.

Please Note: No cancellation fees apply to any person calling to cancel due to illness.
