Matthew Wade is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist having completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science & Human Movement at Victoria University and a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation) at CSU and is currently undertaking a Masters of High Performance Sport at ACU.

Matt operates from our Lara practice and works with all demographics of the community specialising in Type 1&2 diabetes, lower back pain, musculoskeletal pain and imbalance, osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, pulmonary conditions as well as weight related health concerns.

His expertise lies in the delivery and implementation of tailored exercise prescriptions that suit all levels of patient fitness, from sedentary to elite athletes, from designing rehabilitative correctional or sport specific templates that enable individuals to return to full function, or find that extra edge in performance.

Areas of interest:

  • The delivery of functional exercise programs to individuals with any specific chronic condition and/or musculoskeletal issue that requires the attention of a multidisciplinary professional;
  • Exercise programs for individuals confused about which exercises suit their specific requirements;
  • Pre-habilitation and rehabilitation exercise interventions for individuals pre and post-surgery interventions
  • Musculoskeletal analysis and biomechanical screening for the identification, prevention and correction of long standing gait, postural or strength imbalances
