Kim Martin holds the highest level of qualification in Myotherapy (Clinical Myotherapy), which is the result of a four year university course at the Southern School of Natural Therapies.
While studying, Kim was also awarded the 'Most Outstanding Graduate’ in her class, and ‘Highest Achiever in Dry Needling Award'.
As a Myotherapist, Kim is able to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent musculoskeletal pain. Her Myotherapy treatment techniques include remedial massage, dry needling, myofascial release, stretching, cupping and prescription of corrective exercises.
Kim also has a sporting background representing Geelong in both Netball and Basketball. She has previously represented Victoria and Australia in junior netball. With her experience as a sportswomen Kim has developed a special interest in assisting sports people with injury prevention and recovery. She also enjoys treating patients with postural issues and chronic pain because of the positive results Myotherapy can have on long term pain.
Kim is available on Mondays and Tuesdays at our Lara clinic, and Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at South Geelong.
